We're Currently looking for an Experienced Full Time Barista to join our team
In April 2026 we Launched Cygnet Bakery, which is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday on the site of the Pub.
We make all the produce in house for the Bakery & pride ourselves in selling top quality pastries & coffee.
The Role will predominantly be operating the Bakery with a couple of Lunchtime shifts helping the pub.
The Background of The Swan,
The Swan is a 15th Century Pub that underwent a big refurbishment from 2021-2023.
It Reopened in November 2023 with new state of the art facilities including,
A new bar area with 20 draft beers from around the world,
A New Kitchen & Cellar with a brewery/distillery due to be installed later in 2026
Last year we placed in the Top 50 Good Food Guide Pubs & hope to better ourselves this year!
We're looking for driven individuals with experience in hospitality and are looking to advance their career.
In return we will happily put our staff through various training courses to gain valuable qualifications such as WSET & Personal Alcohol Licenses.
We're now looking to grow the team ahead of busy periods ahead.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and assisting with menu selections.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work surfaces throughout shifts.
- Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
- Basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
