Construo Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly respected groundworks and civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering a strong pipeline of projects across the South West.
The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new work by producing accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of groundwork projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing detailed cost estimates for groundwork and civil engineering schemes
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Obtaining and analysing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost efficiencies
Working closely with commercial and operational teams during tender stages
Requirements
Proven experience as an Estimator within groundworks (essential)
Strong understanding of civil engineering and groundwork packages
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
High level of commercial awareness and accuracy
Strong communication and negotiation skills
