Are you passionate about inspiring young people and building vibrant Jewish community life?
Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue is one of the largest and most vibrant Jewish communities in the United Kingdom, with nearly 1,700 members. As we celebrate our 80th anniversary year, we are excited to build on our strong foundations by expanding the religious, educational, social and cultural opportunities available to children, young families and the wider community.
Our vision is to create a warm, welcoming and thriving hub of Jewish life, both on Shabbat and throughout the week, where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect with one another, engage meaningfully with their Judaism, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
This unique opportunity combines two complementary part-time roles, offering an individual or couple the chance to play a leading role in shaping the experience of young people and young families within one of the UK’s most active communities, while also supporting the planning and delivery of a busy and varied programme of communal events.
The combined position offers a competitive remuneration package, with potential accommodation benefits, together with flexibility and the opportunity to develop valuable experience across both community engagement and event management. Most importantly, it provides the chance to make a lasting impact on the growth and future direction of a thriving Jewish community.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact, build meaningful relationships, and help shape the future of community life in a warm and welcoming environment. We offer a competitive package, flexible working arrangements and potential accommodation benefits.
The United Synagogue is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Successful applicants will be required to provide a self-disclosure once shortlisted and subject to an enhanced DBS check within the recruitment process.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
