Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–2:00pm
Contract: Term-time only (39 weeks per year), plus an additional 9 days during school holidays

About Dingley’s Promise – Poole
At Dingley’s Promise Poole, we provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where children aged 0–5 with SEND can learn, develop, and thrive. Through personalised, play-based learning, we support each child’s unique journey while offering guidance to families and working alongside mainstream settings to promote inclusive practice.
The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important part in the daily running of the centre and in supporting the progress of every child in your care.
As a Key Person, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, tailored activities to meet individual developmental needs
- Foster strong, positive relationships with families and carers
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating play environment
- Plan and lead inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities
- Observe, assess, and support children’s personalised learning journeys
- Build trusting partnerships with parents and carers
- Contribute to documentation for EHCPs and EHCNA requests
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and occasional fundraising activities
What We’re Looking For -
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Children’s Care, Learning & Development (or working towards it)
- A compassionate, non-judgemental approach
- Strong understanding of play-based learning in early years
- Ability to adapt to individual and diverse needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Understanding of EHCP processes and related documentation
Additional Information
- Occasional cover opportunities at nearby centres (by agreement)
- Participation in up to four voluntary fundraising events annually (with payment provided for any additional events)
