We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented Cleaning Operative to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities, while also assisting with light organisational tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well ordered environment, ensuring that both staff and visitors experience a welcoming space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising surfaces, and waste disposal.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, kitchens, offices, and public areas according to hygiene standards.
- Replenish supplies such as soaps, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
- Assist with light organisational duties, such as:
- Arranging supplies and stock in storerooms.
- Maintaining orderly storage of cleaning equipment.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Work flexibly as part of a team to meet cleaning schedules and organisational needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not essential.
- Basic organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and reliability.
- Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting and bending.
- Awareness of health and safety practices in cleaning and workplace maintenance.
Working Conditions:
- Standard working hours: 2pm - 6pm Monday - Friday inclusive.
- May involve use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
