Depot Manager

£40,000 to £50,000
We are looking for an experienced Depot Manager to run our busy warehouse and logistics operation in Thatcham.
If you enjoy leading a team, keeping operations running smoothly, and taking ownership of performance and results, this could be a great opportunity for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the day to day running of the depot
- Leading and motivating warehouse staff
- Overseeing shipping, receiving, and stock control
- Working with transport providers and 3PL partners
- Using systems such as WMS, ERP, TMS and AS400
- Monitoring budgets and profit and loss performance
- Driving improvements in efficiency, service and safety
- Ensuring health and safety standards are always met
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience managing a warehouse or depot
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
- Experience with WMS, ERP, TMS or similar systems
- Confidence managing teams in a fast paced environment
- Good financial awareness, including managing costs
- A hands on approach with strong organisational skills
