Job Overview
We are seeking an reliable experienced Groundworker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in groundworks, demonstrating strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties
- Excavate, level, and prepare ground for construction activities using hand tools and machinery
- Lay foundations, drainage systems, kerbing, and pavements in accordance with project specifications
- Operate machinery including diggers, dumper trucks, and compactors safely and effectively
- Ensure the worksite remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and site managers to meet project deadlines
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any faults or hazards promptly
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience as a Groundworker
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to operate relevant machinery safely and efficiently
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks over extended periods
We offer competitive self-employed rates.
Full time work 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday with paid breaks. 40 hours a week minimum with potential overtime if wanted.
Pay: From £170.00 per day
