Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant and inclusive special secondary school in Wythenshawe from September 2026.
This is a rewarding but demanding role within a specialist setting. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across different Key Stages, tailoring education to meet their unique needs.
About the Role:

Provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Assist pupils in achieving their individual learning targets.

Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of children, promoting confidence and independence.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning and support plans.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
-
Experience working in secondary school
-
Previous experience supporting children with SEND
-
A nurturing, patient and proactive approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

References covering the last 24 months
