Position: Bartender
Department: Front of House – Cocktail Bar Team
Reports to: Bar Manager / Brand Manager
About the Role
As a Bartender, you’ll play a central role in shaping the guest experience by preparing quality drinks, maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, and delivering friendly, attentive service.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of organisation and hygiene, and enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Strong bartending skills, good housekeeping habits, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesBartending & Service
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, and other beverages efficiently and consistently.
- Ensure all drinks meet the venue's quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and ingredients.
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service at all times.
- Confidently recommend drinks and engage with guests to enhance their experience.
- Handle customer enquiries and requests courteously and efficiently.
Cleanliness, Hygiene & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised bar throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure glassware, equipment, workstations, storage areas, and customer-facing areas are kept clean and presentable.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules to a high standard.
- Practice excellent stock rotation and storage procedures.
- Take ownership of housekeeping standards and proactively identify areas that require attention.
Operations & Compliance
- Operate the POS system accurately and process payments responsibly.
- Assist with stock checks, inventory management, deliveries, and restocking.
- Follow all licensing, health and safety, and company procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, breakages, or health and safety concerns promptly.
Events & Entertainment
- Support the delivery of quiz nights, live music events, DJ sessions, and other venue activities.
- Assist with basic setup of microphones, PA systems, and equipment when required.
- Help create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere during events.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with bar and floor staff to ensure smooth service.
- Support opening and closing duties and maintain high standards throughout the venue.
- Contribute positively to team culture and lead by example through professionalism and reliability.
About You
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Strong cocktail-making skills and knowledge of spirits are highly desirable.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or Level 3 certification is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Naturally organised with strong housekeeping habits.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with customers.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Able to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods.
- Flexible with shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience hosting quiz nights or assisting with live music and sound system setup is an advantage.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
