Driver / Valeter
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent (Travel Across London & the South Region)
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, either 8:00am – 6:00pm or 10:00am – 8:00pm, plus two Saturdays per month on a rota basis.
Progress Vehicle Management (PVM) is a leading provider of hire vehicles, delivering reliable and professional mobility solutions across England, Wales and Scotland. Operating from our Sevenoaks branch, we provide a fast, responsive service to customers across London and the South region.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and professional Driver / Valeter to join our expanding South team.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role combining vehicle delivery, collection and preparation. You will play an important part in ensuring our vehicles are delivered safely, on time and presented to the highest standard.
As one of the Company's representatives, you will regularly interact with customers, suppliers and colleagues, making professionalism, excellent customer service and a positive attitude essential.
No two days are the same, and the role requires flexibility, initiative and a proactive approach to ensure our customers continue to receive an exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver and collect hire vehicles throughout London and the South region.
- Conduct pre- and post-delivery vehicle inspections.
- Complete accurate vehicle condition reports and documentation.
- Maintain high presentation standards through cleaning, vacuuming and detailing.
- Provide professional vehicle handovers to customers.
- Ensure compliance with road traffic legislation and Company policies.
- Liaise with the Branch Manager regarding routes, schedules and vehicle readiness.
- Report vehicle defects or damage promptly.
- Maintain accurate mileage, fuel and delivery records.
- Represent the Company professionally at all times.
About You
We're looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work and enjoys delivering excellent customer service.
You will ideally have:
- A full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred).
- Confidence in driving throughout London and the South region.
- Comfortable using mobile devices to complete vehicle inspections and Company documentation.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A reliable, trustworthy and self-motivated approach.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work occasional weekends or extended hours when required.
