Cold Store Warehouse Operative Wanted
About the Job:
We’re currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our team. The role involves physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and a focus on safety are essential. You’ll be handling a range of products, sometimes working in cold environments, and expected to follow company procedures closely. Shift Pattern is 12 hour shifts 4on 4off rotating days and nights.
This is hands-on, practical work — it can be tough at times, but it’s steady, reliable employment with a supportive team around you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload, move, and load pallets safely
- Pick and prepare stock as required
- Handball containers and product when needed
- Use handheld scanners and systems to track product movements
- Check and record product temperatures where necessary
- Operate machinery and equipment safely (full training provided)
- Help maintain a clean and tidy warehouse by following clean-as-you-go routines
- Follow health & safety, hygiene, and operational procedures at all times
- Report any equipment issues, damage, or hazards immediately
Who We’re Looking For:
- Someone reliable, punctual, and with a solid work ethic
- Comfortable with physical work and repetitive tasks
- Willing to work flexibly, sometimes at short notice to meet business demands
- Able to work well as part of a team, taking instructions and working safely
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or Coldstore environment is a bonus — but not essential
