Our client in Cardiff is looking for a highly motivated Used Car Sales Manager to lead their dynamic sales team and drive exceptional business growth. As a Used Car Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee daily operations, motivate and develop a team of sales professionals, and deliver on ambitious sales targets. Your expertise will help optimise the efficiency of the sales process, maximise profitability through vehicle, finance, and accessory sales, and ensure outstanding customer satisfaction. The role involves working closely with senior management to develop effective sales strategies, utilise stock management tools, and foster a high-performance sales culture.

Duties of the Car Sales Manager:
- Lead and develop a team of Used Car Sales Executives and a Business Manager to meet and exceed sales targets
- Achieve a minimum of 50 used car units sold per month, improving current performance from approximately 40 units
- Manage stock levels effectively, ensuring the dealership maintains around 75 units and works towards increasing this
- Implement and refine sales policies in collaboration with senior management to enhance profitability
- Cultivate strong customer relationships to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and referral business
- Maximise sales opportunities through vehicle, finance, insurance, and accessory sales
- Ensure efficient forecourt management and control costs effectively
Requirements:
- Proven management experience within a franchised, high-volume used car dealership
- Demonstrable success in leading underperforming teams to achieve and exceed targets
- Solid background in vehicle sales, with a strong understanding of finance and insurance products
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and lead by example within a fast-paced sales environment
- Clean UK driving licence with minimal points
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and process improvement
