About the Role
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is currently seeking experienced Advanced Practitioners to join their Children’s Safeguarding & Support Teams, working with Children in Need and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement family-led, restorative plans based on the assessed needs of children, young people, and their families.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to promote strong partnership working and participation.
- Conduct regular reviews of care plans, recording outcomes and updating plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate case records (both manual and electronic) in line with Directorate policies.
- Prepare and present high-quality reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels, and court proceedings.
- Actively participate in supervision, performance management, and target setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within Children’s Safeguarding teams (essential).
- Strong knowledge of Children in Need processes and safeguarding frameworks.
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of up to 20 children.
