Duties and Responsibilities
1 To prepare meals & contribute to good food safety.
2 To keep a proper record of fridge/freezer/food etc temperatures.
3 Work alongside parents/staff in providing for the special dietary needs of children to give full integration in the Nursery.
4 To review menu on a regular basis.
5 To clean kitchen, and dining room on a daily basis.
6 To carry out domestic duties in communal areas, as required.
7 To order provisions on a weekly basis or as required
8 To attend ALL out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, parents evenings, summer fetes, Christmas party, etc as required.
9 To be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain additional domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleaning, cleansing of equipment etc.
10 Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled.
11 Look upon the nursery as a "whole" where your help can be most utilised and be constantly aware of the needs of children.

14 To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development.

17. To attend training and assist with staff training in safe food procedures.
18. To liaise with outside agencies as required
19. To assist the manager with the efficient upkeep of the buildings and maintenance/ stock of equipment, furnishings and fittings
20. To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the nursery manager.
