Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scaffolder to join our domestic construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for erecting, dismantling, and inspecting scaffolding structures at various sites, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Inspect scaffolding for stability, safety, and compliance before use.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, masons, and electricians to facilitate construction activities.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to modify or assemble scaffolding components as required.
- Assist in the installation of temporary access solutions for domestic projects.
- Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections and modifications.
- Ensure all scaffolding work complies with relevant industry standards and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Advanced Scaffolder or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and fabrication processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Certification in scaffolding operations (e.g., CISRS or equivalent) is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of health and safety regulations related to scaffolding work.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Physical fitness capable of performing manual tasks in various weather conditions.
