Duties

- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques to identify faults efficiently.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute installations accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to prevent potential hazards or failures.
- Document work performed and report on any issues requiring further attention or upgrades.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and voltage testers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and impact drivers relevant to electrical work.
- Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of wiring practices, circuit design, and safety standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues swiftly.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently on-site.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring all work is completed safely and to code standards. Candidates should possess a valid qualification in electrical installation or maintenance and hold relevant certifications where applicable. The role requires a proactive approach with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and continuous professional development.
