New Formation Education are working with a well-regarded primary school in Peckham that runs a dedicated autism provision within its mainstream setting.
This is a structured, well-supported provision. The school is looking for someone steady, observant, and genuinely committed to supporting autistic pupils in a consistent and thoughtful way.
The Role
You’ll work with a small group of pupils with autism who access learning both within the provision and, where appropriate, in mainstream classrooms.
Your focus will be on:
- Supporting communication and social interaction
- Helping pupils manage routines and transitions
- Delivering structured 1:1 and small group support
- Using tools such as visual timetables, PECS, and sensory strategies
- Encouraging independence and emotional regulation
You’ll work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent, joined-up support.

- Enhanced DBS required
