The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to take ownership of core financial reporting and management accounting within a fast-paced fintech environment.
You will be joining a close-knit finance team of 9, where accuracy, insight, and continuous improvement are highly valued. This role is suited to a part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT Level 3/4, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or an experienced finance professional with a minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience looking to step into a more analytical and business-facing role.
You will play a key role in ensuring continuity of financial reporting, supporting decision-making, and maintaining strong financial control throughout the contract period.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and reconciliations.
- Supporting customers, clients, and colleagues with finance-related queries as required.
- Ownership of core operating processing such as VAT, PAYE, weekly margin processing, new business development, continuous development lead though AI
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
- Preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting packs.
- Production of timely and accurate financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Cash flow monitoring and reporting.
- Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
- Intercompany reconciliations and control account maintenance.
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Supporting year-end audit preparation and liaising with external auditors.
- Producing weekly and monthly financial reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Reviewing and maintaining financial controls, processes, and reporting efficiency.
- Managing shared finance inboxes and responding to queries from internal departments and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting ad hoc financial projects and ensuring continuity of key finance processes during the maternity cover period.
About You
You will ideally be part-qualified or qualified (AAT Level 3/4, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or have at least 2–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role within financial services, fintech, recruitment, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
You will thrive in this role if you are:

- A confident communicator who can work effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working to deadlines.
- Able to quickly understand processes and maintain continuity within an established finance function.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving fintech environment.
You will also need:
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
- Strong accounting systems knowledge (experience with finance systems desirable).
- A professional and collaborative approach.
