Report to: Deputy Hotel Operations Manager

Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available. Weekend availability is essential. Hours will normally be worked 07:00 to 15:30 and 14:00 to 22:30. Please confirm your availability within your application.

Tynecastle Park Hotel, located within Tynecastle Park Stadium, is the first of its kind in the UK being solely owned and run by the football club. Due to continued success and the busy summer season we are looking to grow our reception team, with both full-time and part-time positions available. The successful candidate will be a key part of our reception team, who are responsible for ensuring that every guest who steps foot in Tynecastle Park Hotel is welcomed with open arms.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily function of the front of house booking system to ensure all reservations are managed and responded to.
- Day-to-day operation of the front desk and following procedures set out by the Deputy Hotel Operations Manager.
- Welcome guests on arrival at the stadium’s main reception and escorting them to the Skyline Restaurant or any other area within the stadium.
- Supporting the daily function of the hotel’s club lounge, ensuring refreshments are fully stocked for guests.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, and other guest areas where required.
- Support with breakfast service within the Skyline Restaurant.
- Ensure all guests receive the highest quality and most efficient service possible.
- Always considering ways to improve, by reviewing customer feedback to encourage customers to return regularly.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships throughout the Heart of Midlothian family.
Essential Criteria & Skills:
- Previous receptionist experience, preferably in the Hotel industry.
- Passionate about delivering above and beyond customer service.
- Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office and front-of-house booking systems.
- Flexibility with weekly working patterns to meet the needs of the hotel.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to provide evidence of Legal Right to Work in the UK.
