Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving,
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is an advantage, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and time management.
- A valid HGV licence is required, with CPC and digi tacho
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring safe transport of goods.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and clients.
