Summary
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our team at Ladywell. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities, specifically our extensive grounds and buildings are well-maintained and safe for all residents and visitors. This is a key in supporting our mission by maintaining the peaceful atmosphere of Ladywell. Flexibility of hours is available for this role, part time or full time will be considered. This role will also include covering duties within our transportation rota, therefore applicants must possess a full, clean driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledge/skills/experience to enable the upkeep of our grounds
- Experience working with plants/shrubs with knowledge of pruning and general plant health is preferrable
- Drive Sisters and others as part of the transport rota including occasional airport runs
- Support in the responsive maintenance and repair service to Sisters and the Ladywell site as required.
- Supervise and direct contractors whilst they are onsite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems as needed.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a multi-skilled role
- Ideally be qualified as a landscaper/gardener.
- Be technically minded and be able to follow detailed instructions as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full, clean driving licence
- Good communication skills and a friendly manner.
