We recruiting for a growing and ambitious solar installation company looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to build relationships with new build housing developers, regional housebuilders, and independent construction firms as demand for renewable energy solutions continues to grow.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the residential construction sector, helping developers integrate solar PV and renewable technologies into their projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with regional and national housebuilders
- Targeting independent builders and property developers
- Generating new sales opportunities and managing the full sales cycle
- Attending client meetings, networking events, and site visits
- Preparing proposals and negotiating contracts
- Working closely with technical and installation teams
- Building a strong pipeline of long-term development projects
- Keeping up to date with industry regulations and renewable energy trends
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Proven in B2B business development or field sales
- Experienced selling into construction, housing, renewables, or related sectors
- Confident dealing with developers, contractors, and decision-makers
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded
- Excellent at relationship building and negotiation
- Full UK driving licence holder
Experience within solar, renewable energy, construction products, or M&E services would be highly advantageous.
