This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who want to build classroom experience, develop confidence working with children, and gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teacher training or further education careers.
No previous school experience is required. Schools are looking for graduates with the right attitude, personality, and willingness to learn.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils across the school day, helping students to engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting students in lessons across a range of subjects
- Working 1:1 with pupils who require additional support
- Supporting children with SEN, ADHD, autism, or behavioural needs
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
- Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities
- Encouraging student confidence, engagement, and participation
- Supporting small group interventions and targeted learning
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in any subject area
- A genuine interest in education and working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude
- Graduates considering careers in teaching, psychology, SEN, counselling, youth work, or social care are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
