Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. Shifts
Monday to Friday role. Working a mix of AM / PM
Monday / Thursday / Friday (0600-1500) £12.92
Tuesday / Wednesday (1300-2200) £13.42
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment
- Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery (training provided)
- Managing stock levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Loading and unloading goods from lorries using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely deliveries
- Stocking shelves and maintaining organised storage areas
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet specified standards
- Supporting general warehouse duties such as cleaning, organising, and maintaining safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment use
- Knowledge of materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving procedures
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating warehouse machinery such as forklifts is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control tasks
- Physical fitness to handle load & unload activities throughout the shift
- A proactive attitude towards safety practices and teamwork
