Summary
CTS is seeking a proactive and people-focused HR professional to lead and enhance the organisation’s recruitment and training activities. This role is responsible for attracting, selecting, and developing talent, ensuring the business has the skills and capability required to meet its objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, sourcing candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide expert guidance on recruitment best practice.
- Manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and engaging new starter experience.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate training programmes for employees and managers, focusing on both mandatory and developmental training.
- Identify training needs across the organisation through regular skills assessments and performance reviews.
- Support the development of career pathways and succession planning initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes, making continuous improvements where necessary.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory training requirements.
- Support performance management processes, ensuring development plans are in place and aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with managers to promote a learning culture and continuous professional development.
- Produce reports and metrics on recruitment performance, training outcomes, and employee development.
- Maintain HR systems and ensure data accuracy relating to recruitment and training activities.
- Ensure all recruitment and training practices are compliant with UK employment law and best practice.
Qualifications
- Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 in People Practice or Learning & Development (desirable).
- Relevant training or coaching qualifications (desirable).

Security vetting is a requirement for all roles at CTS and any offers of employment are made subject to obtaining and maintaining the necessary security clearance. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will be required to provide proof of 5 years of UK residency.
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
