The Forsbrook Pantry is looking for an experienced cook to join our friendly and growing team.
We are a new village cafe/takeaway serving breakfasts, hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, jacket potatoes, cakes, drinks and daily cafe food. We are looking for someone confident in a busy kitchen who can work independently, use their own initiative, keep standards high and help us build the business.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 6 days.
Opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Pay: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Immediate start available for the right person.
The role will include:
Preparing and cooking breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers and general cafe food
Serving customers and providing friendly, helpful service
Keeping the kitchen, counter and customer areas clean, tidy and organised
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises
Helping with stock control and daily preparation
Working efficiently during busy periods
Using your own initiative to keep the business running smoothly
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous cooking or cafe/kitchen experience
Can work confidently under their own initiative without constant supervision
Is reliable, punctual and well organised
Takes pride in food quality, presentation and customer service
Understands food hygiene and kitchen safety
Can work 40 hours per week across 6 days
Is flexible and willing to grow with the business
Food hygiene certification would be an advantage, although further training can be provided for the right person.
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
