Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage of ingredients
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure consistency in food quality
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and guest requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
- Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent culinary skills with an eye for presentation
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Competence in food preparation, serving, and general kitchen operations
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
