Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Duties
- Operate HGV 18 ton (Automatic) lorries and other commercial vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of items during transit.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery notes and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
- Adhere to all legal requirements related to commercial driving, including hours of service regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 18 Ton curtainsided vehicles or similar lorries.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for freight transportation.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability in meeting deadlines.
- Good organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues as needed.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally. This position is ideal for experienced drivers seeking a role that values safety, punctuality, and professionalism within the logistics industry.

Pay: £130.00-£180.00 per day
