We're partnering exclusively with a highly respected organisation that plays a significant role in driving growth, profile and engagement across the region. With a strong reputation, ambitious plans and a talented communications team already in place, they're now looking for an experienced PR & Communications Manager to help tell some incredible stories.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the craft of PR. You'll be equally comfortable writing compelling content, building relationships with journalists, spotting media opportunities and developing strategic messaging that resonates with a wide range of audiences.
Working closely with the Head of PR & Communications, you'll take ownership of a high-profile portfolio focused on consumer audiences. From major events and visitor experiences to hospitality, sport, culture and leisure, you'll be helping to shape perceptions and generate positive awareness through creative storytelling and impactful campaigns.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and delivering PR and communications activity that drives awareness and engagement.
- Creating high-quality content including press releases, feature articles, speeches, opinion pieces, briefings and campaign materials.
- Identifying newsworthy stories and securing coverage across regional, national and international media.
- Building strong relationships with journalists, media contacts and key stakeholders.
- Supporting senior leaders with messaging, media briefings and speaking opportunities.
- Developing compelling narratives and campaigns that connect with target audiences.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent and effective communications.
What we're looking for
- A proven track record in PR, communications or media relations.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to create engaging content for a variety of consumer audiences and channels.
- Strong media relations experience and confidence pitching stories to journalists.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in all aspects of communications delivery.
- Creative thinking, curiosity and the ability to spot opportunities others might miss.
- An interest in sectors such as tourism, hospitality, events, culture, sport or destination marketing would be highly advantageous.
