Job Summary
Shoryu Ramen specializes in Hakata Tonkotsu ramen, a rich, milky pork broth-based ramen from the Hakata district of Fukuoka, Japan.
We are seeking a personable and efficient Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving our customer, able to work in both ambient floor and Bar creating a variety of beverages, and ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional experience. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your hospitality skills in a dynamic environment, delivering excellent guest service while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and serve drinks promptly.
- Work on the floor if requested.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking.
- Upsell beverages and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, balancing tills at the end of shifts.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and alcohol stock.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, with a strong background in serving or bartending preferred.
- 2 year of Experience
- Happy and able to work as Waiter if requested
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance guest experience and sales.
