We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our us. As soon as possible. 5 days a week. On a flexible rota. Wages are dependent on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring variety and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and handled hygienically at all times
- Serve food to guests when required, providing excellent customer service
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and contamination
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and presentation skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or operational needs
