Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality control throughout all stages of preparation
- Manage food safety standards, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Lead team management activities such as training new staff and organising shift schedules
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and minimise waste
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
