Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
- Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications
- Perform heavy lifting when required during maintenance or installation tasks
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and best practices for machinery upkeep
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
