Quantity Surveyor
Are you a motivated Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a growing and well-established Design & Build contractor?
Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of projects, our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a diverse range of construction projects, from pre-contract stages through to final account settlement.

The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and administering main contract documentation, including bonds and contract execution.
- Preparing payment schedules, valuations and monitoring payment milestones.
- Assessing completed works and agreeing interim payments with contractors.
- Supporting the procurement process, including pre-qualification and appointment of subcontractors.
- Preparing, negotiating and issuing subcontract packages.
- Managing project costs, expenditure and monthly financial reporting.
- Producing project budgets and forecasting costs and profitability.
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
- Managing variations and ensuring client approval is obtained prior to commencement of additional works.
- Handling contractual claims, including extensions of time, delays, disruption and related commercial matters.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2-3 years' post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
