Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and talented individual to join our thriving English Department as a dedicated Teaching Assistant. Working exclusively within English, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils learning, raising achievement and fostering a love of English.
The postholder will work collaboratively with teachers to meet the personal, social and curriculum needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or bilingual needs.
The successful candidate will assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning, supporting the effective differentiation of the curriculum to meet the needs of individual learners. They will be expected to plan and implement learning activities for individuals and groups, undertake supervisory cover for classes where appropriate, and work proactively to support pupils in achieving their full potential.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent)
- Level 2 or above qualification in English//literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy (or equivalent)
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with children
- Experience of working with children in a relevant classroom/service environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience of administrative work
Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
