Manafab Group are excited to be working with a well-established engineering business in Pinxton. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Engineering Operative to join their workshop team.
The ideal candidate is methodical, hands-on, and comfortable working in a busy fabrication environment. You'll play a key role in producing quality work, keeping the team safe, and supporting day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate materials for fabrication and operate autowelders
- Manual welding of sockets and flanges where no autoweld operation is in place
- Pressure test completed parts
- Liaise with the IMS Manager and Storesperson on progress through to next processes
- Receive goods inward from suppliers, label and store appropriately
- Package goods as required
- Occasional deliveries to customers and suppliers
- Maintain site housekeeping to an agreed schedule
Requirements:
- Some welding experience is desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Physically capable of manoeuvring heavy and unwieldy items
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
- Crane operating experience desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role desirable
Salary and Hours:
- £13-14.50ph dependent on skills and experience
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm
- 39 hours per week
- Overtime available
- Immediate start
