Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled class 2 skip driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering, uplifting, and exchanging skips safely and efficiently to various addresses throughout Glasgow and Lanarkshire. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Experience with skip motors is preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of skips.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including Waste Transfer Notes and any issues encountered during transport.
- Communicate effectively with the office staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and compliance during transportation activities.

- Qualifications
- Valid class 2 licence (CPC / Digicard)
- Proven experience as a driver or in commercial driving roles, preferably with skip motors
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items when necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
