The role
In this role you will:
Assist the Ion Beam Centre, SIMPLE group with post-implant characterisation and analysis of colour-centres
Work with SIMPLE/IBC team to develop/commission the characterisation facilities
Commissioning of the IBC confocal PL system
Investigate/contribute towards establishing long term funding opportunities
Train other staff on the new confocal PL system
About you
You will have:
Completed, or be working towards completion of, a PhD in relevant research area
In-depth knowledge and experience of confocal PL systems and techniques
A strong background in colour-centre generation and analysis, particularly the Diamond and SiC material systems
Good working knowledge of single-ion-implantation techniques and processes
Ideally a good working relationship with both supply chain (such as Element6, Thorlabs) and stakeholder/collaborative organisations
