We have a fantastic opportunity to recruit a Farm charge hand for our poultry site in March, Cambridgeshire. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who doesn't mind working hard and getting their hands dirty.
The successful candidate would have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to work as part of a team but also on their own.
You will be part of a small team working 6 days per week, this will include weekend work, supporting the Farm Manager and assistant.
For this Job, knowledge of Poultry is essential for this role. Required to have a minimum level 2 NVQ in Poultry. Salary rang is dependent on experience.
Duties include:
- Preparing sheds for chick/egg arrival
- Daily welfare checks
- Refreshing bedding when needed
- Sorting and Grading
- Covering farm in absense of the manager and assistant
- Problem solving
The candidate should live within 30 minutes of the farm and MUST have their own transport.
