Plumbing Roles: Technician / Senior Technician / Technician Team Leader

Join H2OiQ as part of our Plumbing and Water Efficiency team, installing innovative water efficiency devices in hospitality, retail and commercial properties. This is practical, hands-on work where your technical skill, reliability and professional approach directly support operational delivery across the business.

Location
Our Head Office is in Derby DE21, however you will primarily work on the road from your local operating area. You must be able to travel to client sites around the UK from your home location. Travel and accommodation expenses are paid.
Due to the nature of this role and our sustainability targets, candidates must live within their operating area. This helps ensure reasonable travel from home, reduces accommodation requirements and minimises environmental impact.
Contract
· Full time, permanent
· 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
· Overtime available
· Company vehicle provided for work duties
Essential Requirement
· Full UK driving licence
About the Role
This is an active, site-based role involving installation work, customer-facing site attendance, accurate job reporting and practical problem solving. Depending on the level appointed, you may also support, mentor or lead other colleagues on site.
Depending on the level appointed, responsibilities may include:
· Installing water-saving devices and associated plumbing works to a high standard
· Diagnosing and resolving on-site technical issues
· Conducting site surveys and supporting project delivery
· Using smartphone apps for scheduling, reporting and job completion records
· Maintaining accurate records and clear communication throughout each job
· Supporting and mentoring colleagues, where appointed at Senior Technician or Team Leader level
· Leading and coordinating a team on site, where appointed at Team Leader level
· Maintaining excellent customer service and professional site conduct
· Helping improve processes and maintain organised working systems
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for people who are reliable, proactive and technically capable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing site priorities in a busy operational environment.
You will be comfortable working independently, as part of a team and in customer-facing environments. For Senior Technician and Team Leader levels, we will also look for the confidence and capability to support others, take ownership and help maintain standards on site.
Requirements
· Relevant plumbing experience, appropriate to the level applied for
· Strong technical understanding of water systems and installations
· Good organisation and time management skills
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Clear and professional communication with colleagues and clients
· A proactive and solutions-focused approach
· Confident use of smartphone apps and basic digital systems for work records
· Ability to manage changing priorities and react to urgent site requirements
· Willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays where required, with all expenses covered
Salary Scales
· Technician: £27,000 per annum
· Senior Technician: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum
· Technician Team Leader: £29,000 to £32,000 per annum
These roles sit within a company-wide salary structure so the parameters are non-negotiable. Please do not apply if the advertised salary does not meet your requirements. Starting salary will be aligned to your skills, experience and capability, and may be positioned within the range rather than at the minimum.
