Bright Seeds is the UK leader in Game Cover, Conservation crops, and Wildflower seeds. Based in the heart of the countryside in Fovant, we are a well-established family business with a reputation for quality. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to join our close-knit team.
The Role:
This is a hands-on, varied role. You’ll be an integral part of the daily operations of a busy rural warehouse.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift Operations: Safely unloading/loading lorries and stacking pallets.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately picking, prepping, and packing seed mixtures for dispatch.
- Inventory Management: Assisting with stock takes and maintaining precise records for traceability.
- Teamwork: Working collaboratively to meet seasonal demands and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
- Leading and directing a team to complete tasks.
- Taking on office/computer and paperwork responsibilities when warehouse manager is away.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experienced Forklift Operator: (Essential) You must be confident and competent on a truck.
- Driving Licence & Transport: (Essential) Due to our rural location, you must have your own vehicle.
- Accuracy & Paperwork: You must be comfortable and happy handling paperwork, including recording certification numbers for traceability.
- Experience: Previous experience with telehandlers or trailers is a distinct advantage.
- Attitude: Someone proactive with a good work ethic. A general interest in agriculture/ shooting/ conservation would be beneficial, but not necessary.
- Leadership qualities to be able to direct a team.
- Basic computer skills for processing orders, printing labels, scanning documents etc when needed.
Salary D.O.E on experience
Pay: From £13.75 per hour
