Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of building and renovation, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Duties
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures using a variety of materials and techniques.
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, and fitting doors or windows.
- Carry out roofing work, ensuring waterproofing and durability standards are met.
- Apply construction painting techniques for interior and exterior surfaces.
- Install plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in compliance with regulations.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, or concrete finishing.
- Operate welding equipment to join metal components securely.
- Handle electrical tasks where qualified, including wiring and fixture installation.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across all tasks.
- Engage in fabrication activities to create customised components or structures as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding or electrical work is highly desirable.
- Competence in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for construction tasks.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes beneficial.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary.
- Commitment to safety protocols at all times during operations.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided where necessary.
