Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Candidates with experience in plumbing, carpentry, and the use of power tools will find this position particularly suitable. All work must be completed to high standards of safety and quality.
Duties
- Installing bathroom suites, including baths, sinks, toilets, and showers
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on existing bathroom fittings
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to complete tasks
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling materials such as wood, metal, and plastic
- Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations
- Heavy lifting of materials and fixtures as required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
- Communicating effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress
Experience
- Proven experience in bathroom fitting or related trades such as plumbing or carpentry
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and mechanical principles relevant to bathroom installations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with commercial driving is advantageous but not essential
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations
- Experience working with both residential and commercial clients preferred
