Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items. Previous experience is essential, as you will be working solo.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Handle customer orders efficiently and courteously, providing excellent service to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene procedures at all times to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with light food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling cash and card transactions.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Uphold brand standards in appearance, behaviour, and service delivery at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for transactions and stock management.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- For the right candidate, this could be transferred to a permanant position
