Overview
We are seeking a skilled Loading Shovel Driver to operate heavy machinery within our construction or industrial site. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely manoeuvring loading shovels to facilitate the efficient movement of materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to our ongoing projects. Responsibilities
- Operate loading shovels and excavators with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Load, unload, and transport materials across the site efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in organising materials and ensuring work areas are kept tidy and safe.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and report any operational issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge to identify minor faults and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driving licence suitable for operating heavy vehicles.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under supervision.

Pay: £13.90-£14.50 per hour
