Job Summary
Thrive Personnel Ltd are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Reach FLT Truck Driver to join our clients fast-paced logistics team, working 3 days on 3 days off, 6am - 6pm.
In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your expertise will help optimize inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to a high-performing warehouse environment. Safety, precision, and proactive teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.
Duties
- Operate reach trucks, clamp trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Pick and pack orders accurately using RF scanners and pick systems to ensure timely shipment
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Manage materials handling tasks including pallet jacking, heavy lifting, and stacking goods in designated storage areas
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and updating the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Support warehouse supervision by following operational procedures for order picking, loading, unloading, and storage organization
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with a focus on order picking and materials handling
- Valid and in date certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, clamp trucks, crane operation, and heavy equipment is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for warehouse safety
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate inventory control
- Warehouse experience in shipping & receiving processes along with construction or industrial background preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and load/unload activities
