Run a Homecare Branch Your Way, With Serious Expertise in Your Corner
Plenty of Registered Manager roles dangle the word "autonomy" and then quietly hand you every hard call to make alone. This isn't one of them.
Visiting Angels Cheshire East sits under two doctors who've already grown a thriving, established Visiting Angels service across Kirklees and Calderdale. They're bringing that proven model and their hands-on involvement - to Cheshire East, and they're looking for someone to lead it.
You'll take charge of the branch and your team, trusted to run it properly and backed up when things get tricky. The patch covers Macclesfield, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Congleton, Leek, Buxton and Whaley Bridge, with plenty of scope to build something, grow it, and shape it into your own, with experienced owners alongside you throughout.
The package
- £36,000–£40000 depending on your experience and registration, plus a performance bonus. Visiting Angels runs a premium, privately funded model: visit lengths that are actually paid for, carers paid well, and enough time to do care the right way.
- Genuine decision-making power. How the team is shaped, how care runs each day, where the branch heads next - those calls are yours, with owners who back your judgement.
- Registration you don't shoulder solo. You'll have your own Area Manager, monthly RM calls with fellow managers across the group, and full head-office training behind you.
- Funding towards your Level 5 Diploma if you haven't finished it yet. We'll support you the whole way to registration.
- Learning built into the rhythm of the week. Wednesday afternoons are ringfenced for development and team building: online courses, a team book club, weekly business-education sessions, sports and hiking, plus "wildcard" projects where the team pitches and runs its own ideas.
- Free, award-winning wellbeing support via our AngelCare app - counselling, talking therapy, meditation, even personal-trainer and nutritionist access whenever you want it.
- Your birthday off, on the house, with your holiday allowance untouched.
- A healthy-snack tuck shop, plus Netflix and Prime covered. Little things that stack up.
- Paid mileage and funded ongoing professional development
- A carers-first culture that shows in the numbers: staff turnover here is around 9% against a sector average near 29%, because people feel looked after and stay. We've also picked up a Best Employee Benefits Package award.
Day to day, you'll
- Run the branch and deliver care that's safe, person-centred and fully compliant.
- Hold CQC Registered Manager status, or work towards it with our support.
- Recruit, develop and keep a happy, high-performing team of caregivers who live the carers-first ethos.
- Own care planning, risk assessments, reviews and quality audits.
- Build strong ties with clients, families and local health and social care professionals.
What you'll bring
- Solid domiciliary or adult social care experience, including some supervisory or team-lead responsibility.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care - or a real willingness to work towards one (funded and supported).
- Sound working knowledge of CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- A warm, person-centred outlook and a real love of great care.
