Buyer
Our client a leading manufacturing business is currently looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the spare parts department and be responsible for ensuring a steady supply chain of parts and components required for the business.
The Role
- Responsible for ensuring products required for the department are available
- Negotiate with suppliers on prices and lead times
- Building strong working relationships with suppliers
- Raising purchase orders and scheduling deliveries
- Monitor part delivery status and follow up on late and overdue orders
- Attending team meetings and providing updates
- Monitoring stock levels and identify critical items
- Other relevant duties
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 2 (+) years experience in a similar role
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Competent in thinking on your feet and making decisions
- A positive can-do attitude towards work
- Previous experience in working with a MRP system
