Overview
We are seeking a dedicated HGV class 2 driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle diverse driving tasks.
Duties
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for lorry operation.
- Previous experience working on class 2 vehicles.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as required by delivery schedules.
