Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Groundsperson or Trainee Climber to join our team. This role involves working outdoors to maintain and care for trees in commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have ambitions of building a career in this industry with an ability to focus on safety and precision. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in tree surgery, ground maintenance, and the use of various power and hand tools within a professional environment.
Duties
- Assist with tree pruning, felling, and removal using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Use hand tools and power tools for trimming, cutting, and general maintenance tasks
- Support with site preparation and clean-up following projects
- Operate machinery such as work vans, lifts, and excavators safely and efficiently
- Assist with the safe handling and disposal of tree debris and other green-waste materials
- Support team members with general ground maintenance activities to ensure safety
- Collaborate with site supervisors to complete dynamic risk-assessments
Skills
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail for safety compliance and quality standards

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
